The devil is back -- and he's not alone.

In Netflix's Lucifer Season 5 trailer, Tom Ellis is back as Lucifer, who returns to Earth after resuming his role as King of the Underworld for a short time. However, it's clear he isn't the same as he was before, but it's not because he's changed -- it's because he is another character altogether: his twin brother, Michael.

Michael is an Archangel, Lucifer's brother and a leader of God's army. On the show, Michael is Lucifer's twin, which explains why they look exactly alike. Worse still, it appears Michael is intent on destroying the life Lucifer built for himself on Earth.

But Lucifer won't be out of the game for long. As we can see in the trailer, Season 5 will feature an all-out battle between brothers. What's more, while Season 5 was originally billed as the last season of Lucifer, Netflix recently renewed the series for a sixth and final season.

Helmed by Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German as Det. Chloe Decker, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez. Season 5 will premiere August 21 on Netflix.
