The Season 4 finale of Netflix's Lucifer saw the titular character ascending to Hell, leaving Chloe immediately after she confessed her love for him. Now, newly released photos from the upcoming fifth season suggest Lucifer might get a visit from his angelic brother Amenadiel while he's there.
Entertainment Weekly shared a photo of Amenadiel standing in a clown room looking very dapper in a three-piece suit, presumably to visit his brother in the underworld. "He definitely goes to Hell," D.B. Woodside said. "There’s something going on, on Earth that Amenadiel is not able to handle by himself.”
Woodside, who plays the angel Amenadiel, wouldn't say what the "something" might be that would facilitate his visit, but fans might assume it has something to do with the recent birth of his son with Linda, played by Rachel Harris. Woodside is also careful not to give too much away, but did say, "People need to keep in mind that time flies down in Hell." This could mean a lot of things for the show, including a time jump for the people left on Earth, leaving the relationship between the Detective and Lucifer on precarious ground.
Helmed by Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, Lucifer’s fourth season stars Tom Ellis as the Devil, Lauren German as Det. Chloe Decker, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez. The show's fifth season is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2020.
