When Netflix's Lucifer kicks off its fifth and final season, a familiar face will rejoin the cast. Inbar Lavi will reprise her role as Eve, the first woman -- and Lucifer's ex-girlfriend.

Enertainment Weekly revealed Lavi will return as Eve with a first-look photo, but little is known about how that will play out for the character.“We are so excited to have Inbar back!” Lucifer showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson said in a statement. “Last we saw her, Eve broke Maze’s heart. Soooo… a reunion between our favorite demon and the original sinner should go smoothly, right?”

Eve debuted in Season 4, when she returned from heaven to reunite with Lucifer, her ex. She and Lucifer had a complicated on-screen relationship, but he was ultimately preoccupied with Chloe Decker and her response to finding out his true identity. Eve and Maze went on to have a relationship, but Eve ended things when she went to find herself, leaving Maze brokenhearted.

Season 5 picks up as Maze tries to recover and leans on Chloe to help her get over Eve. They will both be mourning a loss, since Lucifer returned to Hell directly after Chloe told him she loved him. “We’re both heartbroken together because I’m missing Lucifer and she doesn’t really admit it but Maze is heartbroken from Eve leaving," Chloe actor Lauren German teased. "She’s trying to forget about that as well, so we are going through a work/party phase together [in] episode 1.”

Helmed by Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, Lucifer Season 4 stars Tom Ellis as the Devil, Lauren German as Det. Chloe Decker, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez. Season 5 is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2020.
