The DC/Vertigo-inspired TV series Lucifer escaped its hellish fate when Netflix picked it up for a fourth season following its cancellation by Fox. However, the tables will turn on the fallen angel when he's tempted by the original sinner Eve, played by Imposters alum Inbar Lavi.
In a new photo from Season 4, which was released by TVLine, we see Tom Ellis' Lucifer Morningstar cast in an appropriately red hue, with Lavi's Eve kneeling by his side.
“Lucifer is in a very vulnerable moment, emotionally — not that he would ever recognize that — when out of nowhere, Eve turns up,” Ellis said, adding that seeing Eve “brings back so much for Lucifer, about the man he used to be — or, the Devil he used to be,” Ellis added. “She’s never forgotten about him. And she loves him.”
Eve's role on the show is currently being kept under wraps, but showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich have teased that the new character will have her heart set on Lucifer after growing restless spending a literal eternity with Adam.
The first three seasons of Lucifer are currently available to be stream on Hulu before moving to Netflix in time for the arrival of Season 4 sometime in 2019. The series stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris and Aimee Garcia.
