Lucifer is getting a second chance. The series, which was cancelled by Fox, has been picked up by Netflix.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lucifer has landed at the streaming giant for its fourth season. At the time of writing, it is unclear how many episodes Netflix has ordered for Season 4 or if the series will continue beyond that point.

Cancelled in March, the supernatural police procedural flirted with a few other outlets before arriving at Netflix. Though Amazon Studios was in talks to pick up the series, it seems they ultimately passed, allowing Netflix to swoop in and save it.

Based on the DC/Vertigo character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith and Mike Dringenberg, Lucifer follows the story of heaven’s fallen angel, Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis), as he helps an LAPD detective (played by Lauren German) solve crimes. Fox's cancellation of the series led to social-media campaigns to save Lucifer, either by convincing the network to reverse its decision, or by finding the show a new home.

Some thought Lucifer might find a savior at The CW, home to numerous DC comics adaptations, but network President Mark Pedowitz said there have been no such discussions.

Lucifer is currently available to be streamed on Hulu.
