Lucifer's social media added more fuel to the long-awaited flames of Season 5, Part 2.

During the show's Season 5 break, its Twitter account has been leaving hints about its upcoming ending to Season 5 and episode titles for Season 6. Its latest posted puzzle tease read, "Here's a little piece of 5B info: *** will tap into his ***** side."

Fans immediately offered their theories on what the asterisks might stand for with the general consensus being mixed. Some believed it to be about Dan whereas others believed it to be about God. The ***** asterisk created more fan speculation as well as it's the same amount of characters as the words Devil, Angel and human.

While some social media Luci-fans have been enjoying the brain teasers, others are getting frustrated with the vague announcements and lack of official release dates for Season 5, Part 2 and its final Season 6.

Replies to the thread included eye-roll emojis and exasperated captions such as "Not the asterisks again!" Referring to a prior series of similarly vague Tweets which implied that two unnamed characters will be scheduling a visit with a therapist and celestial confidant, Dr. Linda Martin and someone with five letters in their name will be learning about denial.

Lucifer's co-showrunner Joe Henderson recently teased Lucifer's potential disappearance in a Chloe Decker appreciation montage. The new footage showed Detective Chloe Decker walking into a chaotic police station and asking, "Have you seen Lucifer?"

Like many shows in 2020, Lucifer has experienced several production delays due to COVID-19. Lucifer was in the middle of filming the Season 5 finale when the pandemic halted production earlier this year. Although both Season 5, Part 2 and Season 6 still lack official release dates, the cast and crew returned to set in September to finish filming Season 5.

Filming of Season 6 is reported to be currently underway and will add several faces to the cast, including Deadpool 2 star Brianna Hildebrand and Alias star Merrin Dungey.

Helmed by Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German as Det. Chloe Decker, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez. Season 5, Part 1 is available on Netflix now.
