The widespread need for personal protective equipment following the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and its limitations on expression, has inspired a number of customized masks and other equipment.

Offered by lucha-masks.com, those in need of masks can choose from over 40 Lucha Libre masks, including those of Blue Demon Jr., Rayo de Jalisco Jr. and "La Leyenda de Plata" Hijo del Santo. Some luchador masks are made from latex, such as the ones for Psycho Clown or Drago.

The masks feature the most notable parts of the famous luchadors' masks: while many of the mask designs are made to look like the bottom half of a luchador's mask, some designs feature the mask in its entirety, while other mask designs feature simply the eyes of the mask its trying to emulate.

The description for each mask listing indicates that each mask is custom made, "just like a professional Lucha Libre mask." Additionally, each description contains care instructions and a clip of the luchador in action; for example, the listing for the Hijo del Santo masks features a video clip of him facing off against Blue Demon Jr.

In addition to single masks, customers can also choose to purchase a bundle, which contain multiple masks. The three different bundles includes the Bandido Bundle, the Dragon Lee Bundle and the Pro Wrestling Revolution bundle. The Pro Wrestling bundle comes with four masks from the Legends of Lucha brand, and includes the masks of Ultimo Panda, El Mariachi, Kayoko, Chamuco and the blue and silver variant of El Viento's mask. The Bandido Bundle comes with two variants of his mask, while the Dragon Lee Bundle comes with three.

Besides luchador masks, customers can also buy more regular cloth masks, with different branding or text across the front, such as "Viva Lucha Libre!"

Notably, 100 percent of profits made from Cain Velasquez's mask will be donated Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, a food bank local to Cain Velasquez's hometown. According to the mask description, "Before he ever stepped in a AAA or WWE ring, Velasquez began his lucha libre training in San Jose, CA at the Pro Wrestling Revolution Training Academy. Now, he's teaming with the school to give back to his home community."

Cloth masks are $6, while the more robust luchador masks range from $15-30. The bundles range between $40-50.
