Earlier this month, Watts, who is known for his work on the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man trilogy, revealed Skeleton Crew's codename as Grammar Rodeo. According to Watts, the show takes place following the defeat of the Galactic Empire in 1983's Star Wars: Episode VI -- Return of the Jedi, which is the same period in which The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett are set. However, the project will seemingly target a younger audience and was described as "a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s."

Law is an award-winning actor known for his roles in such projects as 1999's The Talented Mr. Ripley and as a young Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts series. Law is currently set to reprise his role as Dr. John Watson in the third film in the Sherlock Holmes franchise, which stars Robert Downey Jr. as the titular detective. He's also set to play Captain Hook in Peter Pan & Wendy as well as Henry VIII in Firebrand.
