The upcoming Love, Simon sequel series has moved from Disney+ to Hulu due to its "adult themes."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series -- titled Love, Victor -- involves alcohol use, marital issues and sexual exploration, which the studio has deemed too adult for its family-oriented Disney+ streaming service. As a result, Love, Victor will find a new home on Hulu, alongside content believed to be thematically similar. Hulu is home to fellow Young Adult series like PEN15, Looking for Alaska and Grown-ish.

The report describes Love, Victor's title character as "a new student at Creekwood High School" who is "on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city and struggling with his sexual orientation." Creekwood High School is, of course, where Love, Simon also took place.

Arrowverse producer Greg Berlanti will not return for Love, Victor, despite directing the original film, because of his deal with HBO Max. Instead, screenwriters Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker will oversee the series. Love, Simon star Nick Robinson, who played Simon, will also serve as executive producer and provide a voice-over narration for the series.

Notably, Disney has already assembled a writers room for Love, Victor Season 2, though the first season has not yet aired. Season 1 will run for 10 half-hour episodes.

Due out this June, Love, Victor stars Michael Cimino as Victor. Nick Robinson, Ana Ortiz, James Martinez, Isabella Ferreira and Mateo Fernandez will also star.
