Speaking during an AMA, creator Tim Miller addressed the fan response regarding the vacation of three unassuming robots in a post-apocalyptic world. "I don't know if there's an accurate judge of popularity, but 'Zima Blue' and 'Three Robots' and 'The Witness' were pretty regularly listed as favorites, and 'Three Robots' because it's so fucking funny."
