Love and romance are in the air, and this week we feature a collection that was built on both. Jasmin turned her boyfriend, Aron, onto comics two years ago, and today he submitted his collection of romance-themed comics, just in time for a certain heart-filled holiday coming up next week.
Although the two are currently in a long-distance relationship, one way they're keeping in touch is through comics. Check it out below, and Happy early Valentine's Day to Aron and Jasmin.

My name is Aron. I'm from Los Angeles, CA. and I wanted to submit my kissing/romance/wedding theme comic book collection.
Two years ago my girlfriend, Jasmin, decided to take me to a free comic book day at one of our local comic shops. Needless to say she basically started my comic collection and hobby that day. A year later she had to move to Boston to pursue her education. That first year she was gone was one of the most challenging, yet we found ways to make it work. We spent a lot of time writing letters, sending packages, and online video chats. That year we spent Valentine's day on opposite sides of the country. I decided to start picking up "love" themed comic books that I could send her as part of her Valentines day gift. Once I had a good stack going I sent her a box filled with the comic books as well as chocolates and other cliche holiday treats.
I decided to go with the comic books because I wanted her to know that even in my obsession and hobby, she was still at the core of it and a great influence in what I enjoy. I wanted her to know that I was still thinking about her even through the distance. It's going to be her final semester away at school this coming spring and to be honest it doesn't get any easier being apart, but it is possible and it can work in my opinion.
A bit more about my collection, I've got 503 love themed comics and the collection is only growing. They are divided into 5 categories: Kissing covers, Almost kissing, General Romance, Wedding theme, and Heartbreak covers. I grouped the pictures with similar characters, publishers, and themes. They are labeled appropriately in the attached pictures. I also have a collection of original art work that I had commissioned as well as some sketch covers.
Lastly, if this gets published on Valentine's Day 2014 I'll be fortunate enough to be spending it with my lovely Jasmin in Boston or New York because I couldn't spend another year not celebrating together. There shouldn't only be a single day to tell the people you love that you love them, but for the sake of the holiday please know that if you are reading this beside me that I care deeply about you dear, I know we can make it, and that I love you very much.
