New Line’s San Andreas 3D has been rumbling along quietly for a while now. There was a spike last month when Journey 2: The Mysterious Island director Brad Peyton joined the project, and now Variety has broken the news that Carlton Cuse of Lost fame will be taking a stab at the script.
So far, writing partners Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore, as well as Alan Loeb, have penned drafts. We now know the story involves a man traversing the unreliable landscape in search of his daughter after a huge earthquake hits California.
Cuse is executive producing Bates Motel for A&E while Peyton is looking at a number of projects, including a Lobo movie starring Dwayne Johnson.
