Lost Co-Star Michael Emerson Is J.J. Abrams' Person Of Interest

Michael Emerson will reunite with Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams for the CBS pilot Person of Interest, Deadline reports.

The crime thriller, created by Abrams and The Dark Knight co-writer Jonathan Nolan, centers on a presumed-dead former CIA agent who teams with a mysterious billionaire (Emerson) to stop violent crimes in New York City before they happen. Heroes and No Ordinary Family director David Semel will helm the pilot.

The script for Person of Interest sparked a bidding war in early September, with CBS emerging victorious with a pilot commitment. The network greenlit the pilot just last week.

Emerson, who won his second Emmy Award for his portrayal of Benjamin Linus on Lost, had been set to reunite with Abrams and co-star Terry O'Quinn for a comedic drama about former black ops agents. Although it was picked up in September by NBC, a late script pushed the network's commitment to next season.
