WEBTOON's Lore Olympus is arguably one of the most popular webtoons to ever release. The story is a retelling of the romance between Hades and Persephone from classic Greek mythology, but with the author's unique and original twist. The series is so popular, that it is getting its own animated YA series created by the Jim Henson company.
The series features a number of gods and goddesses who become prevalent in the story. Each character resembles their original myth but has their own modern and interesting personalities to make them more dynamic. Because of this, it's fairly easy to see which character aligns with which Zodiac sign. Many zodiac signs have a Greek God that rules over them (for example, Zeus over Sagittarius, Athena over Libra, and Artemis over Cancer). But because of the dynamic differences in Lore Olympus, this list is based on the characters and which personality they align with most in the Zodiac.
12 Aries (March 21-April 19) - Ares
Aries's Roman counterpart, Mars, is the ruling planet over Aries, and while this shouldn't matter for this list, Ares is a total Aries anyway. In Lore Olympus, the rendition of the character acts as fiery and hotheaded as any other Aries would, he has a big heart and is constantly ready to defend those he cares for.
When he made his first visual appearance, he literally came in pursuit to save his mother, Hera, from a nasty fight she was about to have with Zeus. Ares loses his temper way too often but constantly is on the lookout to defend Hera, Persephone, and his girlfriend, Aphrodite.
11 Taurus (April 20-May 20) - Artemis
Artemis makes for a perfect Taurus. She is smart, trustworthy, and incredibly practical.
She is utterly dependable, she gave Persephone a home when she made the decision to go to Olympus and made sure to take care of her until she got her footing in this totally foreign world. Like the Taurus, Artemis believes in honesty.
10 Gemini (May 21-June 20) - Hera
Like that of the Gemini, Hera dominantly has two dynamic sides to her, the loving wife and mother, queen of Olympus, and the goddess of marriage, one of the Six Traitors. As a Gemini, Hera gets bored easily and comes up with new and interesting ways to entertain herself.
The main distraction is finding a partner for Persephone and, by extension, Hades. She is a great friend, eager to push people in the right direction, and is deeply empathetic. She is one of the only people in Olympus who is able to tell that something horrible happened between Persephone and Apollo.
9 Cancer (June 21-July 22) - Eros
Like the crab that symbolizes Cancer, Eros originally appeared to be not the best of characters. He and his mother, Aphrodite, played a prank on Hades and Persephone and Eros kind of seemed like he was going to act like a bully to Persephone. But he quickly changed his mind and opened up to her, as if he came out of his shell, and became one of her best friends in Olympus.
Eros is completely and utterly caring, he's empathetic and can literally feel and see people's emotions. He is a bit dramatic but is always a good friend.
8 Leo (July 23-August 22) - Aphrodite
Aphrodite is brave and bold, and incredibly proud, just like a Leo. She is beautiful and she knows it, and she doesn't let anyone say otherwise, literally. Aphrodite is pretty courageous. She does everything to support those she cares about.
Aphrodite loves being in the spotlight and can take things a bit too far if she is out of it for too long. Aphrodite though also seems to like justice. She and Persephone have a complex relationship, but fans believe that if she were to find out about Apollo's actions, she will defend Persephone to no ends.
7 Virgo (August 23-September 22) - Demeter
Demeter is Persephone's mother and enjoys living life in a very structured manner. Like a Virgo, she enjoys perfection. Demeter is extremely hardworking and owns the popular cereal company, Barley Mother which she runs from Earth.
She tries to deem Persephone's life for her, to keep her safe from harm on Olympus, and the outside world. She is organized, graceful, and hates when others let her down. Demeter has high standards, that make Persephone feel constrained.
6 Libra (September 23-October 22) - Poseidon
Poseidon is brother to Hades and Zeus and God of the Sea. Over time, readers learn the Poseidon just enjoys having fun with his two brothers, he likes clubbing and going to parties in the mortal realm, but never does any outright bad actions like Zeus. Poseidon is really similar to that of a Libra due to his "go with the flow" mentality.
He isn't the greatest at comforting others, but he makes sure to put a smile on their face by other means. He puts other's feelings above his own. He is also rather emotionally intelligent but conceals it with his silliness.
5 Scorpio (October 23-November 21) - Minthe
Minthe is a complex character as there is still so much room for growth with the upcoming season. Like a Scorpio, Minthe is ruled by her emotions. She may seem cold and distant at times, but the emotions are there and they are strong, she just doesn't really know how to display them.
Minthe believes and acts like she is thoroughly independent but in reality, she just wants people in her life. Minthe is trying to learn not to act on her heightened emotions which have caused pretty rough problems in the past, and many fans believe she will strive to be a better person in the upcoming season.
4 Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) - Persephone
Persephone is eager to explore the world and wants to see more than just her piece of land in the mortal realm. She is eager to go and explore new things in Olympus and to live a life of her own. These traits are very similar to that of a Sagittarius.
The Sagittarius sign is known to be the traveler's sign of the zodiac, those who like exploring new things fit right in here. Persephone is also vastly open-hearted and hates feeling trapped. She has short bouts of rage but then calms down and becomes herself once again. These traits all line up well with that of a Sagittarius.
3 Capricorn (December 22-January 19) - Hecate
Hecate is as driven as they come and strives to keep the workplace in running order. She is incredibly resourceful and detail-oriented, making sure nothing is messed up in the Underworld.
Hecate is more hard-working than any other character in the series and shows time and time again that this transfers to how good of a friend she is. Like a Capricorn, Hecate can achieve anything she puts her mind to. She is harsh when she needs to be but is overall very protective of her friends.
2 Aquarius (January 20-February 18) - Hermes
Hermes is incredibly idealistic, much like that of an Aquarius. He is a great friend for Persephone and is constantly trying to protect her and help her, physically and emotionally. Hermes is incredibly supportive and is always an amazing friend and always shows his concern for the well being of others.
For example, when he goes to Artemis's house with Apollo for the first time, he is wary due to the fact that he is a boy and Artemis often doesn't allow men into her home. Apollo dismisses him, but he still showed that he cared for and respected Artemis's household rules.
1 Pisces (February 19-March 20) - Hades
Hades is a hopeless romantic. He keeps trying with Minthe, even though that relationship is incredibly toxic, and just doesn't want to hurt her feelings by rejecting her. Hades does this for a while until his feelings for Persephone become too strong.
Like a Pisces, Hades also has a tendency to isolate himself when he is feeling blue. Pisces are highly connected to their emotions and are rather sensitive. Hades shares these qualities, as he is sensitive to his birth name. Hades is extremely sweet to those that he cares for but has a dark side with those who have done him (or those he love) wrong.
