Michael Turner was one of the most prolific and impactful artists in comics. A new agreement between Aspen Comics and Marvel Comics will put the late artist's work on a brand new comic with limited edition variants for "Amazing Spider-Man" #15.

Using never-before-seen pencils by Turner and colors by Peter Steigerwald, the new cover features Spider-Man and the Black Cat on the rooftops of New York City. Pre-orders for the limited to 3,000 copies cover will begin at 12:00 P.M. Eastern via AspenStore.com. A black-and-white Artist Edition variant featuring Turner's pencils will also be available, limited to 1,500 copies. A limited number of variants will be available at Aspen's booth at Comic Con International: San Diego on July 21-24.

This marks the second collaboration between Aspen and another publisher, following news in late May that Turner's art would be used on a number of DC's upcoming Rebirth titles in the coming months. The first cover from that partnership was a variant for "Batman" #1.

Turner, one of the most popular comics artists of the late '90s and 2000s with credits including "Witchblade," "Fathom" and "Superman/Batman," passed away in 2008 at age 37.

"Amazing Spider-Man" #15, written by Dan Slott and drawn by Giuseppe Camuncoli, is scheduled for release July 6 from Marvel Comics.
