It seems like only yesterday that Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker was packing Master Yoda through the swamps of Dagobah. Now, 36 years later, the learner has become the master -- and he clearly takes the role very seriously.

To wish Daisy Ridley a happy birthday (she turned 24 on Sunday), the "Star Wars" veteran tweeted a photo of himself and his young co-star hilariously recreating that classic scene from "The Empire Strikes Back," with a Pinewood Studios parking lot standing in for Dagobah.

If the two keep up the training at this pace, Rey will be ready to take down Kylo Ren and Supreme Leader Snoke in no time at all.

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" opens Dec. 17, 2017.
