"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" continues to tease new storylines and character changes as new concept art surfaces online. Today Empire Magazine debuted art that not only features Groot's new look but also a toothy new villain.

When Groot gave his life in sacrifice for his team at the end of "Guardians of the Galaxy," Rocket salvaged some of his branches and replanted him. At the end of the film Groot was a baby plant, last seen dancing during the mid-credit scene. Thanks to this photo we now know what Groot will look like in the sequel. He is an excited, short, almost toddler-like version of the original Groot.

The image above also shows the Guardians engaged in a fire-fight against a monster with massive teeth, tentacles, and fur. On Facebook today, Director James Gunn said that the monster was called a Abilisk.

Set to the backdrop of "Awesome Mixtape #2" Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage.
