The following article contains major spoilers for "Batman" #50, by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.

"Batman" #50 is in stores today, and with it comes the long-anticipated debut of artist Greg Capullo's new costume for the Dark Knight.

Promised by writer Scott Snyder to be "the most explosive, jam-packed sort of blockbuster crazed issue we've ever done," the issue certainly delivered, deepening the mystery of Mister Bloom, revealing the fate of James Gordon, and featuring a battle between a giant Bloom and repurposed Joker-bot. But at the center of it all was Capullo's new look for the title character.

Not only does Batman have a new costume, his entire body is essentially new. As he leaps back into battle, Alfred informs him," When you were revived by the Dioneseum, your body was fully healed. All the years of scarring, they're gone. You're the fastest and strongest Batman since, well, ever."

"Batman" #50, by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, is on sale now. "Batman" #51, the creative team's final issue together, arrives April 13.
