Paramount Pictures has released hi-res photos from the upcoming "Star Trek" film, featuring stills and behind-the-scenes shots.

With a little more than a week until "Star Trek Beyond" warps into theaters, Paramount Pictures has unleashed 50 hi-res stills and behind-the-scenes images from the sequel.

Directed by Justin Lin, the sequel to 2013's "Star Trek Into Darkness" sends the Enterprise crew into the farthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.

Opening nationwide July 22, "Star Trek Beyond" stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Idris Elba.
