Over the years there have been swords of all shapes and sizes players have gotten the chance to fight with or fight against in some cases. 1 Shulk's Monado Changes More Than Just The Future With Its Constantly Changing Length (Xenoblade Chronicles)

Monado for sword length article

What sword could be longer than Masamune? The simple answer to that is a sword that can make itself grow exponentially in size. The Monado is the weapon of Shulk in Xenoblade Chronicles and its power is one that players get to hear and see plenty of. In its compact form, it's no more than 4.6 feet in length.

When the Monado is in its base combat form, its size grows considerably to around 7.6 feet, and to top it off, the main blade is made of light and it expands depending on the power being used. During Shulk's climactic encounter with Metal Face on Prison Island, it grew to a considerably larger length. Given the nature of the Monado, it's obvious that the full extent of the blade's power was never shown. There's also the fact that it was linked to the Bionis giant directly, which would put this sword in a category of its own.
