Long Beach Comic Con Programming Announced

Official Press Release

Long Beach Comic Con programming is official. With no shortage of guests, comic panels, how to seminars, film screenings and Q&A's sessions the third Annual Long Beach Comic Con is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The convention doors open Saturday, October 29 at 10 am and will have a full weekend worth of events for attendees. Be sure to plan your weekend as panel rooms fill up quickly and space is limited.

The cast and crew of The Guild, who in addition to a Q&A, will be taking attendees on a walking tour of filming locations in the Long Beach area, highlight Saturday. Seth Green and the creative minds behind Robot Chicken will be hosting a Q&A and have asked that all fans come prepared to participate in the panel. Iron Man 3 Director, Shane Black will be speaking about and answering questions on all his feature film work including the highly anticipated Iron Man 3.

Saturday night at 8:30 pm join us for our first annual Masquerade Ball! Prizes will be awarded by our esteemed panel of Judges, who include Mike Shields, Shawn Crosby and Wendy Pini for a variety of categories.

Comic panels make up the majority of the sessions on Sunday with a workshop by Mark Waid and Josh Fialkov, a career retrospective by Tim Bradstreet, hosted by Thomas Jane and a writer's panel with Steve Niles & Jimmy Palmiotti

Film fans will be able to check out great genre films during the Might & Fright Film Festival. Checkout films from Directors Jake Kennedy, Chris Siverston and Michael A. Pickney

"We figured for our third year we'd better step up the quality and scope of the show, so we reached out the creative community and they came through big time." said Martha Donato, co-owner of the Long Beach Comic & Horror Con. "Our programming schedule is packed with some unique and very cool elements - not the least of which includes a Q&A with Shane Black, the Iron Man 3 Director, our friends from Robot Chicken stopping by for a panel, and The Guild going over the top with some unbelievable activities."

The full schedule can be downloaded from the official LBCC website.
