Lonely Island's Jorma Taccone to Helm Action-Comedy Spy Guys

Jorma Taccone left Saturday Night Live along with his Lonely Island collaborator Andy Samberg at the end of last season, but he already has another project in the works.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Taccone is on board to direct New Line Cinema's Spy Guys, an action-comedy written by Adam Sztykiel (Due Date).

The movie revolves around a CIA agent who's framed while attending a friend's wedding in Europe. On his own and deemed an enemy of the U.S. government, the agent must enlist the help of his pals to clear his name.

Spy Guys is being produced by Taccome's Lonely Island crew Samberg and Akiva Schaffer along with New Line's John Rickard, who's worked on everything from Final Destination 5 and A Nightmare On Elm Street to Horrible Bosses and Jack the Giant Killer. Taccone wrote and directed on SNL as well as MacGruber.
