Still more familiar faces are returning for Fox's six-episode revival of "The X-Files."

According to Televised Revolution, "X-Files" veteran Dean Haglund confirmed last night that fan-favorite conspiracy theorists the Lone Gunmen will join Mulder, Scully & Co. in the miniseries.

“Today, they contacted us," Haglund, who plays Richard Langly, told a crowd in Sydney, Australia. "We’re shooting July 28. The Gunmen are in the final six.”

Haglund will be joined by Bruce Harwood as John Fitzgerald Byers and Tom Braidwood as Melvin Frohike, who were introduced in Season 1 as counterculture patriots and friends of Mulder before securing recurring roles on the long-running series. They even had their own short-lived spinoff, "The Lone Gunmen."

It's worth noting, of course, that the Gunmen were killed off in the Season 9 episode "Jump the Shark," an event retconned in the canonical comic series "The X-Files Season 10."

Starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, "The X-Files" revival premieres Jan. 24 on Fox.
