WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Loki Episode 2, streaming now on Disney+.

The latest Loki episode just saw Loki meet himself -- sort of -- and Tom Hiddleston is very excited to show how this new relationship plays out going forward.

While cryptically describing Sophia Di Martino's "Lady Loki" to Decider, Hiddleston revealed, "She has taken certain characteristics, which are very familiar to me: mischief, playfulness, maybe a little bit of interior fragmentation and some broken emotions in there. But [she is] so committed and she made it completely her own. And she did all her own preparation and research and it was such a fun dynamic."

On what it was like filming interactions with Loki's female counterpart -- complete with her wearing a crown featuring smaller versions of Loki's trademark horns -- Hiddleston compared it to there being "a mirror that we're both looking into. But also, the moments when it wasn't familiar were really fun too." He also teased what this revelation will mean for Loki's ongoing existential crisis, calling it "quite destabilizing."

Lady Loki is a gender-flipped version of the Trickster God introduced in the comics. In the Disney+ series, Loki and the Time Variance Authority manage to track down this alternate Loki Variant down to a futuristic Roxxcart store. They were able to deduce how she's been able to constantly evade the TVA's radar, using chaotic historical moments as camouflage to mask her own presence within the "Sacred Timeline."

While Lady Loki's full plan remains unknown, the episode also showed what she was doing with the multiple TVA reset charges collected from fallen Minutemen. After revealing herself to Loki, the Variant then disperses these charges across random points in history, thus causing the timeline to exponentially splinter beyond the TVA's control.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, and Eugene Cordero. New episodes air Wednesdays on Disney+.
