A new Loki Season 1 prop photo just surfaced online, and it appears to confirm that a deleted scene in Episode 4, "The Nexus Event," is part of Marvel Cinematic Universe canon.

The photo comes courtesy of the r/marvelstudios subreddit and offers fans a close-up look at Sylvie's TVA arrest report. Among the details listed in the report is a reference to Loki holding Sylvie at knifepoint prior to the pair being detained by TVA agents. This doesn't align with how Loki and Sylvie's arrest actually plays out in "The Nexus Event," in which no such confrontation takes place. Instead, it more closely matches unused footage of Loki and Sylvie grappling featured in the Assembled: The Making of Loki behind-the-scenes special. Marvel Studios is yet to publicly comment on the discrepancy between Sylvie's arrest report and "Nexus Event." As such, it remains unclear whether the report's contents are indeed canon, or represent a continuity error resulting from changes made to Loki Season 1's story during reshoots.

Sylvie's TVA arrest report includes several other fascinating nuggets of MCU lore for devotees to devour, too. Notably, it confirms several differences between Sylvie and Loki, despite them being alternate universe counterparts (or "variants") of each other. These include obvious dissimilarities, such as Loki and Sylvie's respective heights, as well as less readily-observable ones, such as their respective gender identities. While a previously released image of Loki's TVA file lists him as gender fluid, Sylvie's arrest report categorizes her as female.

Loki Executive Producer Teases Season 2

MCU fans will likely learn about other differences between Loki and Sylvie when Loki Season 2 debuts on Disney+ in 2023. They'll also witness Loki's ongoing transformation from villain to hero, according to executive producer Stephen Broussard. "I think Season 1 was about [Loki] discovering that he could be more," Broussard said. "And I think Season 2 will continue that in unexpected ways. So I'm excited for people to go on that journey with Loki in the hands of Tom [Hiddleston], who is one of the most amazing actors that I've ever had the good fortune of working with."

Exactly when Marvel Studios intends to unveil Loki's second season remains up in the air, though. A recent report suggests that the MCU show's next batch of episodes won't drop until late in Summer 2023. That said, Marvel Studios and Disney+ are yet to provide an official update on Loki Season 2's release window, which means this report should be taken with a grain of salt for now.

All six episodes of Loki Season 1 are currently streaming on Disney+.
