Rumors have surfaced regarding Everything Everywhere All at Once star Ke Huy Quan's mysterious role in Season 2 of Loki. As reported by insider Daniel Richtman (@DanielRPK) and shared by MCU News on Twitter, Quan will supposedly play a character called "Oroborus," who also goes by "B-O," who is in charge of technology at the Time Variance Authority (TVA). In multiple mythologies, the ouroboros is an image of a snake eating its own tail, meant to symbolize the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth. The nature of Quan's role has not been officially confirmed by Marvel or Disney at the time of writing.
Quan first became known as a child actor for his roles in blockbusters like The Goonies (1985) and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). He recently made a splash in 2022 with his role in Everything Everywhere All at Once and was announced to join the cast of Loki at the D23 Expo. Joining Quan in the Season 2 main cast will be Kate Dickie as an antagonist, Rafael Casal in an undisclosed major role and Eugene Cordero as TVA Agent Casey, who was a recurring character in the first season.
What's in Store For Loki Season 2
Season 1 of Loki ended with Sylvie (Sophie Di Martino) killing the secretive head of the TVA, He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors). In doing so, she altered the history and nature of the organization itself. Tom Hiddleston, who stars as the titular God of Mischief, said that Season 2 "is kind of a challenge of a question asked of the TVA itself; a battle for the soul of the TVA." Quan added that the story is "really good" but couldn't go into more detail. Rumors also suggest that Henry Cavill will join the series as Hyperion, a Superman pastiche who is alternatively a hero or villain in the Marvel universe, but the actor has debunked those claims.
Apart from the Disney+ series, it was recently reported that Owen Wilson's TVA Agent Mobius will join the cast of Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine. The report suggested that Mobius would play a major role in the upcoming threequel, leading to speculation that the movie will see Deadpool and Wolverine adventure through the multiverse. While this has not been officially confirmed, the Twitter account for TVA mascot Miss Minutes did recently exchange tweets with Reynolds, suggesting she may have a part to play in Deadpool 3.
Season 1 of Loki is available to stream on Disney+. Season 2 is set to release in the summer of 2023.
