WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Loki Episode 6, "For All Time. Always," streaming now on Disney+.

Loki's first season ends on a shocking note when Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) kills "He Who Remains" (Jonathan Majors) at the Time Citadel in the Void, paving the way for the Kang Variants to arrive as the Sacred Timeline finally shatters. And while her actions obviously set up Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with the Sorcerer Supreme set to investigate these branched realities, it's also worth noting Loki's finale may connect to WandaVision's post-credits scene.

In the WandaVision finale, Wanda was on the steps of a cabin at a secluded mountain retreat, waiting for water to boil. She then entered the kitchen area, only for the camera to pan to an astral projection of her magical form, the Scarlet Witch, using the Darkhold she took from Agatha. She was clearly using the tome to practice the mystic arts and hone her chaos magic, but she paused when she heard her children call out for help.

WandaVision Episode 8 post-credits scene

The show ended there, leaving fans to wonder if Wanda had tapped into some supernatural realm her boys were forced into when her makeshift world in Westview crumbled. However, as Loki expands the multiverse, it could be that Wanda was hearing them from a world that was forming, or perhaps her twins got reconjured and lopped into another existing reality. This route would be a clever spin of the House of M storyline, where some of Wanda's fake creations came into the real world. But in this case, it could be the souls of her sons being transposed into a reality where they're afraid and calling out to her.

With countless branches spiking out from the Sacred Timeline thanks to Sylvie's actions, it's plausible Wanda's chaos magic may have locked onto her sons and the overall divergence of the timeline. This would inform Wanda's role in the next Doctor Strange flick, as many felt the Sorcerer Supreme might be running into conflict with Wanda over her building Westview, but it's likely he meets her as she scours around the newly formed multiverse.

This timeline fracture could also explain why Strange didn't show up in WandaVision, as he and his mages might've been busy using their resources to figure out what's happening to the timeline. Having Loki connect so directly to WandaVision would be a fascinating way to string all these projects together in Phase Four, with Wanda rushing out of her isolation and realizing a rescue may be possible. This would also give her a valid reason for an exploration of the multiverse and help provide an impetus for Strange to work on repairing the damage done by Sylvie.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, and Eugene Cordero. All six episodes of Season 1 are available on Disney+.
