Loki, the God of Mischief, has been battling the greatest heroes of the Marvel Universe for a long time. Whether it be his brother Thor and his comrades in the Avengers, the mutants of the X-Men, or many others, Loki has always loved to spread the mischief around, bedeviling foes with his magic when he can't just beat them with his impressive physical abilities.

In recent years, Loki hasn't been as bad as he has been in the past, but that doesn't mean he's reformed. Loki will still mix it up with the heroes when he has to. So, if Loki found himself in the DC Universe, which heroes would he take down? Which ones would give him some trouble?

10 Would Lose To: Dr. Fate

Loki is no slouch in the magic department, but Dr. Fate would be able to take him out. The Helmet of Nabu grants Dr. Fate with all the power of the Lord Of Order the helmet is named after and all of the knowledge of spellcraft that immortal being possesses. That's some serious power.

Loki wouldn't be able to trick Fate, so then it would just be a magical battle between the two and in that case, as powerful as Loki is, Dr. Fate is more powerful and skilled. Dr. Fate wins.

9 Would Defeat: Hawkman

Hawkman yells as he flies into combat

Hawkman is one of the fiercest men in the DC Universe. His Nth Metal harness allows him to defy gravity and enhances his strength, as well as enhancing his healing abilities. He's been reincarnated multiple times throughout time and space and has millennia of fighting experience. Loki has dealt with the like before.

Hawkman might be able to put up a good fight against Loki for a bit if Loki wanted to actually fight him hand to hand. Otherwise, Loki could use his other powers to take him down. It really all depends on how Loki is feeling.

8 Would Lose To: Shazam

Shazam seems like someone Loki would be able to beat, mostly because under all that power, he's just a little kid, but it's that little kid that's reason Loki couldn't beat him. See, Billy would know to use the wisdom of Solomon when dealing with Loki's trickster ways. He'd be able to see through Loki's tricks.

With that advantage nullified, Loki would have to rely on his physical attributes against Shazam, and that would be a big mistake. Shazam is definitely stronger and faster than Loki, and while he may not have the experience Loki does, he more than makes up for it with his tenacity.

7 Would Defeat: The Flash

The Speed Force gives the Flash the kind of power that a lot of people, especially ones not used to dealing with speedsters of his caliber (so, pretty much anyone from the Marvel Universe), can't really combat. He can do so much with his speed and if all else fails, there's always the infinite mass punch.

However, he's still human, and Loki's magic will work on him. He may come out of the gate and hurt Loki a bit, but Loki will quickly figure out what he's dealing with and cook up the right spells to mess with the Flash just enough to take him out.

6 Would Lose To: Zatanna

Zatanna is easily one of the most powerful magic users on Earth. Her spellcasting ability is unique and versatile, allowing her to do pretty much anything she can say backward. She's also had a lot of experience fighting against beings like Loki over the years.

Zatanna would be able to dispel any of Loki's illusions and see through his tricks. One of Loki's, and Asgardians in general, biggest drawbacks is how actually mortal they are. They can be killed and hurt by sufficiently powerful people, and Zatanna fits that bill. She wouldn't lose her cool because she was fighting a god and would have no qualms with badly hurting Loki.

5 Would Defeat: Green Lantern

Hal Jordan is the greatest Green Lantern of them all, and he knows it. That cockiness is something Loki can exploit. Hal's power ring makes him a powerful adversary, and he's dealt with all kinds of beings in his days, including gods. However, he's used to duking it out with them, and that's not the type of fight Loki is going to make this into.

Using his magic to screw with Hal's head, Loki would be able to slip in Green Lantern's defenses and take him down. Without power ring assisted countermeasures, there's nothing that Hal can do against Loki's physical might.

4 Would Lose To: Red Tornado

Red Tornado is an android empowered by a wind elemental. He's strong, can fly, and shoots tornadoes at people. He's awesome. A former member of the Justice League, he was always one of the team's tanks- able to take a lot of punishment and dish it right back out.

His android nature means a lot of Loki's magic won't really work against him, and the fact that he's basically an elemental means he has power that can match Loki's. Red Tornado is more than a match for Loki.

3 Would Defeat: Batman

Underestimating Batman is never a good idea, but in this battle, the mortal man can't really hang with the God of Mischief. As good as Batman is, his strategies depend on him having a weapon he can use against an enemy or a way to nullify their powers. He'll have no such luck against Loki.

Sure, Batman has some impressive toys, but Loki can easily get into the Dark Knight's head and wreak havoc with him and how he sees the world. Batman might think he's fighting and beating Loki, but it would all be a trick, and Loki would be ready to hit him. Batman couldn't even take one punch from Loki.

2 Would Lose To: Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is used to fighting beings like Loki. Battling gods is nothing new for Diana of Themyscira. It seems like every other week, she's going up against another unruly god, and Loki is pretty much the ultimate in unruly gods.

Loki's magic would have little to no effect on Wonder Woman, and then it would be all down to fisticuffs. Loki just doesn't have what it takes to put down Wonder Woman in that kind of fight. She's just so good. It would be a great fight, but in the end, Loki would fall.

1 Would Defeat: Superman

That's right, Superman. One reason why- magic. Besides Kryptonite, magic is Superman's biggest weakness, and as an Asgardian, Loki is a being of magic. He may not be as strong or as fast as the Man Of Steel, but he doesn't really need to be. He just needs to get a few good spells off.

He'll have time for that sort of thing, too, since Superman takes it easy against opponents at first, and this would be a huge mistake against Loki. Loki is not going to return that favor at all. His magic will knock Superman for a loop, and then Loki will be able to finish him off.
