Loki is coming to Disney+ in June and MCU fans have been loading the internet with theories, ideas, plot lines, and just general things they hope to see in the series. After two trailers and a few interviews with Kevin Feige, fans have started to learn about the upcoming show based on the minimal amount that has been revealed.

While much of the plot, and presumably many of the characters, have yet to be revealed there are plenty of easter eggs for fans to over-invest in. In typical Marvel Studios fashion, most fans probably won't know what's going on until the episodes actually air. Though, until then fans can theorize about the things they already know.

9 The Released Date Has Been Moved Up

First and foremost, the highly anticipated Loki series will now be streaming a full two days earlier than previously announced. The premiere date was previously set for Friday, June 11th. However, the vocal minority made it clear that they would have difficulty watching the fourth episode of Loki and Black Widow on the same day, provided Black Widow maintains its latest release date of July 9th.

Disney and Marvel Studios decided to move Loki up to Wednesdays to avoid any clashes from properties in the same franchise. Now Loki will be airing on Wednesday, June 9th, as well as the five Wednesdays following. While MCU fans were wishing for a more significant move, two days earlier is much more welcome than another delay.

8 The Main Loki is a Variant from Endgame

As all MCU fans know, the Loki from the main timeline was presumably killed by Thanos. During the time heist in Avengers: Endgame, the Loki that was captured at Stark Tower ends up escaping with the Tessaract all thanks to Hulk and his hatred of stairs. The series Loki is expected to follow the adventures of the Loki that escaped.

Beyond that, fans can only assume so much from the trailers. The show could focus around the same Loki through every episode, or a new Loki could be introduced in every episode. Given the unknowns about the multiverse, fans can only wait to see what stories are told.

7 The Time Variance Authority Has A Significant Role

Loki and Mobius at the TVA.

The Time Variance Authority (TVA) has been revealed as being a significant part of the story being told in Loki. Marvel fans know that the TVA is an organization responsible for overseeing the flow of time and have been involved in many important stories in the comics.

The TVA appears to be working with Loki in the upcoming series, but to what capacity remains unclear. The TVA could also be a villainous organization disguised by red tape and bureaucracy. After all, the Skrulls went from being evil in the comics to refugees and victims in a Kree-Skrull war in Captain Marvel so anything is up for adjustment in the MCU.

6 Mobius M. Mobius Appears to Be Important

Owen Wilson will be making his MCU debut as the character Mobius M. Mobius who happens to be a high-ranking official for the TVA in the comics. The MCU version of Mobius appears to be following suit by being tied to the TVA and having a pretty great mustache, though beyond that not much is known.

Mobius seems like a nice enough guy in the trailers, but his actual role in the series remains unclear. He appears to be a point of contact for Loki, but aside from that, no one knows if he will be helping Loki fix his mistakes as anticipated or if he will be revealed to be hindering Loki from doing so throughout the series.

5 The Plot Will Heavily Involve Time Travel

It has been teased, assumed, and confirmed to a degree that time traveling between alternate timelines will play a significant role in the series to come. One of the trailers appears to suggest that Loki has created up to 13 branch timelines off of the one he is from, and must presumably go back to fix or delete them.

Many of the other clips in the trailers have shown previous locations in the MCU and even actual real-world events from history. Based on these short clips, it appears that Loki will be doing a lot of traveling in this series, both to different places and to different times.

4 Loki Will Be Visiting Important Historic Events

While most of the trailers only show bits and pieces of potential plot points, eagle-eyed fans have managed to determine Loki will be tied to certain historic events from actual human history. One exciting prospect is Loki finding himself in ancient Pompeii during the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

Another significant storyline appears to be Loki posing as the infamous skydiving thief D.B. Cooper. Why this is significant for the events within the show remains to be seen, but it seems that Loki will be engraining himself in human history one way or another.

3 IMDB Has Some Potential Plot Clues

In addition to Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius and Tom Hiddleston's Loki, other characters have been credited as part of the cast on IMDB. Some of the more interesting character names on the cast list include Florence Schaffner, Minuteman, and Young Sylvie. Florence Schaffner is the name of the flight attendant that was D.B. Cooper's point of contact during his entire sky heist. There is also a character credited as Airplane Passenger which would indicate that the D.B. Cooper scene will be more than just a quick flashback.

The Minutemen are somewhat of a disposable police force used by the TVA in the comics to enforce the laws of time, and presumably space. This enforcement team consists of robots, cyborgs, and even clones; viewers can expect to see at least two different Minutemen. Finally, Sylvie is a young woman from Oklahoma who, in the comics, receives special powers from Loki after the Asgardians decide to move above her hometown of Broxton. Sylvie ends up joining multiple super teams including the Avengers, and given that she will be portrayed as "young" in Loki, she may be an important member of the Young Avengers going forward.

2 Additional Casting Information

MCU Loki from his series with comic Lady Loki imposed on top

In addition to the characters mentioned already, there are four actors that are not yet tied to a character despite being listed as appearing in all six episodes of the series. There are two English actors, Sophia Di Martino and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as well as two other actors in the form of Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant.  All four actors are presumably in every episode so one might assume that their characters have significant roles in the show.

The lore of Loki goes deep in the comics, so the list of characters that any of these actors could potentially be is quite extensive. It would be fair to assume that there might be other TVA authority figures aside from Mobius, and any one of the female actors could end up being Lady Loki or a grown-up version of Sylvie. Fans will have to wait patiently for the big reveal in June.

1 The Events of Loki Will Tie Directly Into Dr. Strange 2

Loki and Dr. Strange side by side

Kevin Feige himself has confirmed that whatever happens in Loki will play a part in the upcoming Dr. Strange sequel. Though how they tie together and what role Loki may have in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is still largely unknown at this point.

One might assume Loki will be in a villainous role since he has really only been a hero or anti-hero in the Thor films, but his recent arc may suggest he will see the light and become a true hero alongside Dr. Strange. Given that both characters have an affinity for magic and sarcastic comments, seeing the God of Mischief and the Sorcerer Supreme share the silver screen could be exhilarating.
