Loki was the Disney+ show MCU fans had been begging for. Finally, everyone's favorite anti-hero gets his own weird show full of awkward twists, turns, and everything else expected of the iconic character. The best part is that one of the producers is the actor for Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston, so fans are sure the show is in good hands.

The show is so weird and so full of references, hints, and Easter eggs that it takes a number of watches to spot them all. Tiny details fill in the background, nodding to comic books, other MCU characters, or even put there to hint at the future. Nothing in a Marvelverse series is there by accident, so fans love finding all of the little Easter eggs tossed their way by the studio.

10 Branches Form In Notable MCU Locations

Loki TVA Branching Timelines Emphasis On Location

After newly revealed Sylvie makes her grand escape from the TVA, Ravonna is seen watching a screen showcasing a myriad of Nexus Events branching simultaneously across spacetime.

A careful look at these locations will reveal key MCU settings, such as Loki's home of Asgard. Other notable locations include Vormir, Sakaar, Ego, Titan, Hala, and New York City. Vormir was where the Soul Stone was located, Sakaar is where the Grandmaster lives, Ego was the planet father of Peter Quill, Titan was Thanos's home, Hala is the Kree's home, and New York City is where the Avengers are based.

9 Destroyed Sanctum Sanctorium Evident By The Seal Of The Vishanti Window

Loki Sanctum Sanctorium Reference With Emphasis

Dr. Strange's ruined Sanctum Sanctorium can almost be missed during a wide shot of The Void as it is nestled into equally decrepit and gloomily destroyed buildings. However, the circular Seal of the Vishanti window appears to still be intact so it is recognizable as the building itself.

It's one of a few Doctor Strange nods throughout the series but is definitely one of the harder ones to spot. It's also tucked into an Easter egg-heavy episode, taking a back seat to more obvious ones like the Thanos helicopter.

8 Doctor Strange's Multiverse Of Madness Is Referenced By Miss Minutes

Miss Minutes, the TVA's bizarre mascot, on the Loki poster.

At the very beginning of the series, viewers have to sit through the same teeth-grinding infomercial as Loki, as he walks through the otherwise empty lines of the TVA. In it, Miss Minutes mentions that stepping off of the dedicated path of the Sacred Timeline caused a Nexus Event. She also says that when left unchecked, it would lead to both madness and yet another multiversal war.

This is another tiny nod to Doctor Strange. This one, however, also doubles as a teaser for the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie set to premiere in 2022.

7 Frog Thor In A Jar Next To Mjolnir

Loki Reference Mjolnir And Frog Thor Emphasized

Within a pile of refuse briefly seen in the "Journey Into Mystery" episode, there is a small bottle seen clearly labeled with T365 sitting next to a discarded Mjolnir. This is a reference to the 1986 Thor #365 comic where he is transformed into the mightiest frog. Throg, as he was later seen in the series, appears in this bottle eternally reaching for his hammer.

The best part was that after this appearance, it was dropped that there had been plans for Frog Thor appearances earlier in the season, though they kept getting dropped, until this one. It's just hard to notice him because in that short glimpse he can be seen, Mjolnir takes center stage.

6 Loki Is Still Falling The Same As He Did For 30 Minutes In Ragnarok

Loki Falling Ragnarok And Loki

Sylvie showcases herself quickly as being even more crafty and dangerous than Loki himself thought he was capable of. During his initial confrontation with her, she is jumping through various hosts via an enchantment, and eventually, he ends up in a fight with a big guy being controlled by her.

At one point during the fight, he is thrown to the ground and falls in exactly the same way he was falling for 30 minutes in Thor: Ragnarok, wherein he states he believes she can't be a Loki because he wouldn't keep doing this to himself.

Loki TVA Logo Emphasized

The TVA itself is covered with a whole swath of tiny references all over it, which is to be expected. It is full of people trying to protect what they believe is the Sacred Timeline, and any variant of it is brought there to be judged and/or destroyed.

Judge Ravonna Renslayer keeps herself to a gilded office, in which even the doors are extravagant works of gold. Etched into the doors is a geometric design that could easily go amiss until it becomes clear that it is the same hourglass that appears on the TVA's logo.

4 The Revengers Appear In A File About Ragnarok

Loki Destruction Of Asgard Event File Codename Revengers Emphasized

Loki is very clearly being a purposeful pain to Mobius for much of the first few episodes of the series. At one point, Mobius condemns Loki to read files in hopes to figure out where the dangerous variant of him has gone.

One of the files is in regards to the Destruction of Asgard, a major apocalyptic event seen in Thor: Ragnarok. In it, there is a small, easy-to-miss nod to the group Thor, Valkyrie, and Loki had temporarily formed, known as The Revengers.

3 Stan Lee Continues To Make Cameos

Loki Stan Lee Cameo Emphasized

Stan Lee was well known to make cameos in MCU films and shows while he was alive. It became such a thing that there were entire groups of fans who would specifically watch them in hopes of spotting one of the most important comic book icons of all time.

Once he passed away, in November of 2018, many fans were upset at the possibility his cameos would cease. Instead, they continue in full force, and Loki is no exception. When Loki is being brought into the TVA by Agent B-13, there is a mural on the back wall that has Stan Lee on it, which makes sense. If anyone had been a former TVA judge, it would have been one of the creators of the entire Marvel Universe.

2 Sylvie Had Male & Female Stunt Doubles Before Her Reveal

Loki Variant In Fog With Lantern Sylvie Before Reveal

In order to keep fans guessing prior to Sylvie's grand reveal, they used both male and female stunt doubles for her. This became especially clear in "The Variant" where a shadowy Sylvie was all over the place, causing trouble and cleverly avoiding the TVA.

It was a neat little idea from Loki director Kate Herron, who thought it would be a fun way to add another layer of mystery to her character in a way only those who looked the hardest—or rewatched a ton of times—would have noticed.

1 TVA Trash All Over The Void

Loki TVA Trash Pile In The Void Emphasized

The Void is a space after the end of all time where everything that the TVA prunes end up. Understandably, a lot of it is dirty and not maintained, as it is simply full of what shouldn't have happened, which gets eaten up then by Alioth.

After spending enough time conversing with Mobis over a meal, it becomes quickly evident that a fair number of these trash piles are simply mountains of TVA leftovers, food trays, and general refuse, suggesting that at least a few of the agents don't even bother to clean up after themselves. That, or they consider something left out of perfect place to be a variant.
