Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's Richard E. Grant has reportedly joined the cast of the Loki Disney+ series.

DiscussingFilm reports Grant has finalized talks and joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe project, though the role that the actor will be portraying is unknown at this time.

Grant was a part of Fox's X-Men film franchise, with a role in 2017's Logan. The actor played Dr. Rice, one of the many scientists in search of Laura, the young female clone of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. He also starred as General Pryde in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Grant has also appeared in Doctor Who, The Fear, Downton Abbey, Dig, Jekyll & Hyde, A Series of Unfortunate Events and Tuca & Bertie.

Photos from the Loki set featured Tom Hiddleston in regular street clothes, along with Sophia Di Martino possibly portraying a female God of Mischief. There was also a bus with a Roxxon logo prominently displayed.

The upcoming Disney+ series Loki is planned for release in 2021 and will feature six episodes. In addition to Tom Hiddleston, the series will also star Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
