The first pictures from the set of the Loki Disney+ series have shown up online, and they may give us our first look at the female version of the God of Mischief.
The four pictures feature Tom Hiddleston in regular street clothes surrounded by soldiers in the rain. However, a woman who appears to be Sophia Di Martino is also present. She is wearing a costume that is similar to the ones worn by Hiddleston previously in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leading to speculation that she is playing the female Loki from the comics.
Di Martino was first reported to join the Disney+ series in November, though it was unknown exactly what role she would be portraying. It is still possible she has been cast as the villain Enchantress or another character entirely, though there are also reports the female Loki will appear in the limited series.
Fans got their first look at Loki during a short teaser that premiered during this year's Super Bowl. The footage also contained first looks at The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision.
The upcoming Disney+ series Loki is planned for release in 2021 and will feature six episodes. In addition to Tom Hiddleston, the series will also star Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
