With Lois Lane finally headlining her own modern day series, fans get to see Superman's wife solve a mystery that may save her husband's life, while exposing an enigmatic scheme affecting the entire DC Universe at the same time. And now, a variant cover from artist Nicola Scott may provide fans with a clue to said mystery.On her personal Twitter, Scott praises what the creative team of writer Greg Rucka and Mike Perkins are doing with the character. She also uploaded a copy of her variant cover, which has the famous reporter standing behind a wall, bullets ricocheting past her as she cooly writes on a notepad.RELATED: Lois Lane # 1 Reimagines the Character as the Hero We Need in 2019In a later tweet, Scott explains that her cover was originally planned for the series' third issue, but has been bumped forward. Though she's not sure why, she believes it may be due to what we see on Lois' notepad, information Rucka himself provided for the piece.

On the notepad, Lois has drawn a pyramid with a question mark in the center, with words surrounding the corners, and the statement "Money is a Braid" beneath it.

How this ties into the central mystery of the title is unknown, but this being a Lois Lane story, fans know she won't rest until she solves it, while they get to join in on the mystery.
