Netflix's television adaptation of IDW Publishing's Locke & Key has officially begun production on Season 2.

The official Locke & Key Instagram account shared a socially-distant photo of cast members Connor Jessup, Jackson Robert Scott, Emilia Jones and Darby Stanchfield, who all appear to be at their respective homes. Jessup and Jones also have their digital copies of the script for Season 2's first episode, "The Premiere," on hand. "Season [2] is now in production!" the caption reads. "Drop an aloha if you're excited."

Written by Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez, the original Locke & Key comic book was first published by IDW in 2008. The series follows the Locke siblings, who -- alongside their mother -- return to their ancestral home of Keyhouse following the murder of their father. Netflix's live-action TV adaptation of the series dropped its first season this past February, with the show being renewed for Season 2 the following month. The second season will pick things up "as the stakes grow higher," with "the Locke siblings embracing their role as the new Keepers of the Keys."

Streaming now on Netflix, Locke & Key Season 1 stars Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke, Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke, Connor Jessup as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke, Bill Heck as Rendell Locke, Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Thomas Mitchell Barnet as Sam Lesser, Griffin Gluck as Gabe and Coby Bird as Rufus Whedon. Season 2 does not yet have a release date.
