With a second season of her animated series on CW Seed announced earlier this month in addition to her live-action arrival in the back half of "Arrow's" fourth season, DC Comics' animal power-based hero Vixen is experiencing the highest profile of her existence. And, according to The CW President Mark Pedowitz, the character's potential could be even larger.
"Hopefully, that character could actually spin itself out, if not maybe join as one of the Legends [of Tomorrow],'" Pedowitz said at the TCAs as reported by Collider. "At this moment last year, 'Legends' didn't really exist. So time will take its toll."
Vixen joins "Arrow" in Season 4's episode 15, brought to life by Megalyn Echikunwoke, who also provides the character's voice for the animated series.
In the animated series, as well as the comics, Mari McCabe -- a.k.a. Vixen -- has the power to mimic the abilities of animals thanks to an amulet passed down through her family. "Arrow" and "Flash" stars Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin lent their voices to the animated series, so Vixen has already tangled with both Green Arrow and the Flash, though it is unclear at this time if that relationship will carry over into her live-action debut.
