The upcoming live-action film is expected to be a continuation to the popular animated series and will see Dora begin high school. As she deals with the trials and tribulations of being a teenager, Dora and her friend Diego must search for a lost Incan city where her parents are being held captive by mysterious antagonists.

Directed by James Bobin, Dora and the Lost City of Gold stars Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez, Temuera Morrison, Eva Longoria, Michael Peña, Adriana Barraza, Q'orianka Kilcher and Benicio del Toro as Swiper. It hits theaters on August 2.
