The 90s comic book Danger Girl is coming to the big screen with Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow at the helm.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wadlow will work on rewriting a script originally penned by Umair Aleem, whose only other work was the 2015 Bruce Willis film Extraction.

Created by J. Scott Campbell and Andy Hartnell, Danger Girl tells the story of three female secret agents (Abby, Sydney and Sonya) who get involved in various adventures. They are led by a former British secret service agent based on Sean Connery and have a teenage genius named Silicon Valerie who helps them.

An all-female action adventure series sharing a lot in common with James Bond and Indiana Jones, the comic book became a cult favorite when Wildstorm released it. Both Campbell and Hartnell are involved with the movie as executive producers. A television series is expected to follow the film as well.
