Live-Action 'Attack on Titan' Crashes in With Full Teaser

Following Thursday's first look, Toho Company has released the full-length teaser trailer for the live-action "Attack on Titan," which reveals the first film will premiere in Japan on Aug. 1 and the second on Sept. 19.

Directed by Shinji Higuchi, under the supervision of manga creator Hajime Isayama, the adaptation will feature seven new characters. Isayama worked on the scripts with screenwriter Yuusuke Watanabe (“Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods,” “20th Century Boys”) and film critic Tomohiro Machiyama.

Anime News Network provides a translation for the teaser:

Debuting in 2009, the hit “Attack on Titan” is a post-apocalyptic fantasy set in a world where remorseless, flesh-eating giants have all but wiped out humanity, whose remnants are forced to live within a country surrounded by three enormous walls. The story initially centers on Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and their childhood friend Armin Alert, who join the military to fight the Titans after their hometown is attacked and Eren’s mother eaten.
