If you're feeling antsy for Deadpool 2 and also looking for a way to kill two minutes of your day with a cute video, boy, are you in for a treat. Filmmaker and special effects artist Patrick Boivin likes to make short films starring his son Roméo Bulté Boivin, and their latest collaboration features the boy as Little Deadpool facing off against a pop-up book version of Cable. This short boasts impressive effects that will make your family iPhone home videos seem a little less than impressive.
"My son is a huge fan of Deadpool," Boivin wrote, "and he wanted to make another movie with his dad."
The film features some seriously impressive art and special effects. Not to mention that Boivin has a vintage Fisher Price Parking Ramp and Service Center, complete with a handmade Little People version of Deadpool (and his toilet). We don't see such toys much anymore, which makes for a fun setting for Little Deadpool.
Boivin has also created previous videos starring his son, including a Little Ant-Man, which should definitely be your next viewing, and an adorable Baby Iron Man featuring his infant daughter. Of course, Roméo might be a little young to buy a ticket for Deadpool 2, but we hope he'll continue to play Little Deadpool for future shorts.
(Big) Deadpool 2 arrives in theaters May 18. Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 features Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable and Julian Dennison as Russell.
