Lionsgate to Adapt Double Take's Zombie Comic "Z-Men"

Set in the world of "Night of the Living Dead," the comic follows to Secret Service agents sent to investigate the events depicted in the classic film.

Lionsgate will team with publisher Double Take Comics to adapt the zombie comic "Z-Men" for the big screen, Variety reports.

Written by Jeff McComsey, "Z-Men" is the flagship title in Double Take's new line of comics set in the world of George Romero's "Night of the Living Dead."

"Z-Men" follows two disgraced Secret Service agents as they're offered a chance to redeem themselves by investigating the events of the 1968 zombie classic.

Headed by former Marvel President and COO Bill Jemas, Double Take is the comics imprint of video game developer and publisher Take-Two Interactive Software.
