Disney continues its billion-dollar streak as the remake of The Lion King has become the tenth highest-grossing film ever, surpassing Marvel Studios' Black Panther.

According to Box Office Mojo, the Disney remake has earned over $1.35 billion since arriving in theaters in July. While Lion King sits at number 10, 2018's Black Panther is now down to the 11th spot at $1.346 billion, with $5 million separating the box offices of the two films.
