Singer/songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda says Encanto will soon get its very own ride at one of the ever-popular Disney theme parks.

While talking with Insider on the red carpet of the Hispanic Federation's annual gala in New York City, Miranda revealed that he would rather have an attraction based on Disney's 60th animated feature than a sequel film or television series. The Hamilton star may be in luck, as he disclosed that the Imagineers, who have designed and built 12 theme parks to date, are already in the process of making the aforementioned ride a reality. "I don't know what they do or where they live," Miranda said. "But I know they're on it."

Miranda revealed to TheWrap back in February that he had approached Disney CEO Bob Chapek to pitch an attraction where fans of the Madrigals could actually visit their beloved casita to experience the magic for themselves. "I talked to [Chapek] and said, 'I know there's a world in which this casita lives in a theme park and we get to actually walk through it in real life,'" Miranda recalled, before saying that he wanted audiences to have the opportunity to "go in and out of [the] casita and see [the] characters and see the house respond because that's something Disney can do that no one else can do."

Rumors have been circulating that an Encanto ride will be replacing the "Tarzan's Treehouse" attraction at Disneyland, though the development of an attraction revolving around Mirabel and her family has yet to be confirmed.

Encanto follows Mirabel Madrigal as she struggles to find her place within her extraordinary family, whose members are each bestowed a magical ability by the mystical powers of their home. Though she lacks a gift, Mirabel suddenly finds herself the only one able to save her family and home when the powers of the Madrigals begin to fade along with the magic running through their casita. The solution may be closer than Mirabel thinks, however, as she soon discovers that the generational trauma and expectations plaguing the Madrigal family may be the cause of their troubles.

The original songs that Lin-Manuel Miranda composed for the movie have been acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. His heartbreakingly beautiful ballad, "Dos Oruguitas" was nominated for Best Original Song at both the 79th Golden Globe Awards and the 94th Academy Awards, and the film's unexpected hit, "We Don't Talk About Bruno," is the highest-charting Disney song of the 21st century.

Encanto is available to stream now on Disney+.
