Lily James Joins Edgar Wright’s 'Baby Driver'

Lily James is in talks to join Edgar Wright's "Baby Driver," Variety reports.

Written and directed by Wright, the film follows a young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) with a unique method: he uses the music on his personal soundtrack to push him to be the best in his business. After he's forced to work for a crime boss, however, the stakes are raised and he must fight for his life.

Announced in 2008 as part of a two-picture deal with Working Title Films, "Baby Driver" was originally intended to be released before his 2013 film, "The World’s End." Wright spent several of those years also working on Marvel's "Ant-Man," though that eventually fell through and he passed directorial duties over to "Yes Man's" Peyton Reed.

James' past credits include "Downton Abbey" and "Cinderella."
