Who would have ever thought that television would feature not one, but two different shows based on Thomas Harris' characters? NBC ordered Hannibal from Bryan Fuller to showcase the fine young cannibal's early days with FBI profiler Will Graham. But that's not all: TV Guide reports that now Lifetime is getting into the game with its own Clarice Starling series.

The MGM-produced drama, called simply Clarice, would follow the character after she graduates from the FBI Academy, meaning it's set following the events of The Silence of the Lambs, the 1988 novel turned Academy Award-winning 1991 film. Jodie Foster earned an Oscar for her portrayal of Starling; Julianne Moore played the character in the 2001 sequel Hannibal.
