The Life Is Strange franchise is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch.

In an official trailer released during its E3 2021 presentation, Nintendo announced that both Life Is Strange: True Colors and Life Is Strange Remastered Collection would be making their way to the Switch later this year, meaning a total of three games from Square Enix's Life Is Strange series will officially be available on the platform.

Developed by Deck Nine, Life Is Strange: True Colors is the latest entry in the Life Is Strange series. The game is set to release for the Switch on Sept. 10 -- the same day it arrives on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Google Stadia. True Colors follows main protagonist Alex Chen, who must use her power of psychic empathy in order to unlock the secrets of Haven Springs, Colorado and get to the bottom of the so-called accident that killed her brother.

Meanwhile, the Life Is Strange Remastered Collection includes graphically-upgraded versions of developer Dontnod Entertainment's original Life Is Strange game, as well as Deck Nine's prequel Life Is Strange: Before the Storm. The Remastered Collection does not have an official Switch release date, with Nintendo simply stating that it will arrive sometime during Q4. Notably, the title is set to arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia at the tail-end of Q3 -- more specifically, Sept. 30.

Originally released in 2015, Life Is Strange follows main protagonist Max Caulfield, who -- shortly after returning to her hometown of Arcadia Bay, Oregon -- discovers she has the ability to manipulate time itself. 2017's Before the Storm, meanwhile, features Chloe Price -- Max's best friend and player-determinant love interest -- as the playable protagonist. Set a few years prior to the events of Life Is Strange, Before the Storm details Chloe's life in Arcadia Bay during Max's time away.

There is currently no official word regarding whether or not Dontnod's Life Is Strange 2 or its free prelude game The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit will be coming to the Nintendo Switch as well.
