“Lex Luthor: Man of Steel” #1 Sold Out at DC

Official Press Release

LEX LUTHOR: MAN OF STEEL #1 (JAN050288) has sold out at DC Comics. The debut issue of this stunning 5-part miniseries written by Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Lee Bermejo sold out twelve days after arriving in stores on March 2.

“While Lee and I were fleshing out the ideas for the series, we both knew we were on to something that might be special,” says Azzarello. “LL: MOS is a radical piece of work – both in its subject and design, and ultimately in its crescendo. The first issue just laid the groundwork. In the timeless words of Randy Bachman, ‘B-b-b-baby, you ain’t seen n-n-nothin’ yet.'”

“We did a major overprint on this issue, expecting that once it reached stores, sales momentum would pick up dramatically,” says Bob Wayne, VP – Sales. “Retailers should look at their orders on upcoming issues, so they’ll have enough copies on hand to meet demand.”

Other issues of LEX LUTHOR: MAN OF STEEL are available as follows:

* LEX LUTHOR: MAN OF STEEL #2 (FEB050264) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on April 6.

* LEX LUTHOR: MAN OF STEEL #3 (MAR050387) is solicited in the March issue of Previews (Volume XV #3) on May 4.

* LEX LUTHOR: MAN OF STEEL #4 (APR050321) is solicited in the April issue of Previews (Volume XV #4) on June 1.

DC has no plan to go back to press on the issue at this time. Please note that copies may still be available at retail.
