A new team of heroes will rise to protect Earth-3 in the penultimate issue of DC's Crime Syndicate miniseries: the Legion of Justice, led by none other than Lex Luthor.

According to solicits from DC, the issue will see the heroes of Earth-3 -- Savanna, Venus, Power Tower, Red Hood, Lonar and Thaal Sinestro -- join forces under the leadership of Luthor to stop the Crime Syndicate's plan for world conquest. A backup story will also tell the story of how Syndicate mainstay Johnny Quick got his powers.

Debuting back in 1964, the Crime Syndicate of Amerika are the evil counterparts to the Justice League. Hailing from the parallel universe designated Earth-3, villains like Ultraman, Owlman, Superwoman, Power Ring, Johnny Quick and Atomica use their fantastical abilities to subjugate their world, often opposed by heroic counterparts of characters like Lex Luthor, the Joker and Deathstroke. The team has had their stories changed and rewritten over the decades as DC shuffled around the nature of its multiverse, with the most recent series actually telling the origin story of both the individual members and the team itself.
