Event Leviathan has been a deep-seated mystery at the heart of the entire DC Universe, pushing heroes against one another while bringing down some of the biggest organizations on Earth. Although there have been numerous clues to the identity of the person leading the Leviathan organization, the question of who's behind them remains unanswered.
However, Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #5 cut through all of that as its titular character literally screamed it at people on the streets of Gotham City.
Renegade Blogger
After surviving an assassination attempt, Jimmy has faked his death and gone undercover to discover the reason someone has been trying to kill him. Relocating to Gotham City and taking on the identity of renegade blogger Timmy Olsen, he starts acting like more of a Logan Paul-type viral prankster than his usual self. Some of his many pranks around Gotham City have included setting up a literally revolving door in front of Arkham Asylum, openly asking if Bruce Wayne is Batman and putting bees in Doctor Fate's helmet. He's basically Silver-Age Joker with a live-stream, and it's terrific.
But perhaps his most diabolical prank on the DC Universe is one that also counts on making the readers themselves mad. At one point, "Timmy" sticks his head out of a taxi and screams through a microphone that "It was Manhunter" at a crowd of people. The crowd reacts in disgust and anger at the revelation. But that might be because it might be a genuine spoiler for one of DC's biggest current events.
Leviathan
Event Leviathan by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maalev centers on the titular Leviathan, a mysterious figure leading a large force aiming to bring down the institutions of the world as they are now. The identity of Leviathan has been a major focus of the narrative up to this point, with Lois Lane, Batman and an assortment of other detective characters trying to figure out who's behind the mask.
However, clues have been suggested throughout the series towards their identity. Bendis confirmed that a clue to the identity of Leviathan was actually hidden somewhere in Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium. As noted by ScreenRant, the symbol for Manhunter can be seen in the Kamandi section of the Legion of Super-Heroes miniseries. This hints that his symbol might be the key to figuring out who Leviathan is, and could be seen as proof that Manhunter is Leviathan.
Mark Shaw is the original Manhunter, a defense attorney who worked in secret as a vigilante using alien technology. The most recent issue of Event Leviathan even strongly hinted that Shaw being Leviathan explains why Kate Spencer has been specifically targeted: she's the person who took up the mantle after him. While there still hasn't been any confirmation of Leviathan's true identity, the reveal seems to be coming sooner rather than later. If Manhunter ultimately is Leviathan, it would add a level of real-world irony to Olsen's very meta prank.
