Levi Miller Joins "Supergirl" as Cat Grant's Son

12-year-old "Pan" star Levi Miller has signed on to play Carter Grant, the shy and sensitive son of Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant, in CBS' "Supergirl." TheWrap reports that Kara (Melissa Benoist) will act as Carter's babysitter, and that Carter will have a crush on Supergirl.

In the comics, Cat is a single mother with a son named Adam, who is kidnapped by the Toyman and later killed when he tries to escape. It is unclear whether there is a connection between Miller's character Carter and Adam, though it's notable that Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) -- which is Toyman's civilian name in the comics -- appears in the show.

The show centers on Kara Zor-El (Benoist), a Kryptonian stranded on Earth following the destruction of her home planet Krypton. Assuming the name Kara Danvers, she decides to come out of hiding at the age of 24 and really use her super abilities for good.

"Supergirl" arrives on CBS on October 26 at 8:30 p.m. EST. Developed by producers Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg, the series stars Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh.
