Levi Ackerman is one of the most beloved characters in Attack on Titan. He was the strongest character in the Survey Corps and was a very blunt person that always did what he needed to, making it so fans would always be happy to see him, whether he was fighting or simply having a conversation with someone.

Now that the manga has come to an end, readers may want to look back at some parts of the story. But which chapters should they read if they want to see some of Levi's best moments? There are ten specific chapters that Levi fans will love.

10 Levi's Appearance In Chapter 14 Is Iconic

Levi makes a heroic appearance at trost AOT

After Eren's Titan abilities were discovered, the military worked with him to seal Trost District, not allowing any more Titans to get inside. Once Eren was able to block their entrance with a boulder, all that they had to worry about was the Titans that were already inside.

However, they started focusing on Eren, as well as Armin and Mikasa, until Levi defeated all of them. The first words he said to them were "Hey, brats. What's the situation here?" which was the moment that he became many readers' favorite character.

9 Levi Beats Eren Up In Chapter 19

If readers still didn't care for Levi much after chapter 14, they probably did shortly after. In Chapter 19, "Still Can't See," Eren was finally free from the prison that the military put him in due to their fear of him being able to transform into a Titan. However, he was only let go so that some of the most powerful people in Paradis could decide what to do with him in a trial.

Because of how emotional and thoughtless he was back then, Eren yelled at them, which caused Levi to kick him in the face multiple times. By doing so, he proved to those that wanted to kill Eren that he could keep him under control, which resulted in the Titan Shifter joining Levi Squad.

8 Levi Had One Of His Best Lines In Chapter 25

Plot to capture the Female Titan _ Attack on Titan

Levi has had a lot of great quotes throughout the series, with what is arguably the most iconic being in Chapter 25, "Bite." As the Female Titan chased the Levi Squad, trying to capture Eren, he asked the captain what they should do. Levi and the other members of the squad kept moving forward, not helping soldiers that tried to defeat the Female Titan, which caused Eren to get upset.

Levi then told him that if he wanted to fight, he could, knowing that Eren is a monster even without his Titan abilities but that he'd have to choose whether to trust himself or the squad and hope that he would pick whichever he'd regret less.

7 Levi Fought Kenny In Chapter 58

Levi Yells Kenny

At one point, Levi was one of the most mysterious characters in the series as little about his past was revealed. That all changed when Kenny was introduced. In Chapter 58, "Gunshots," Levi had to fight against the man that raised him.

The two fought all over Stohess District in what was one of the best battles in the series as it was just as thrilling as a fight between Titan Shifters even though Levi and Kenny never became Titans.

6 Kenny's Backstory Was Revealed In Chapter 69

Kenny ackerman last words

As Kenny died, readers learned a lot about him. After becoming friends with Uri Reiss and joining the Military Police, Kenny went to see his sister, who had died. Levi, her son, was a starving child at the time so Kenny took him under his wing, kept him alive, and taught him how to fight. But after a while, Kenny left Levi behind and the two hadn't seen each other again until the 58th chapter.

In the present, Levi approached Kenny and the two had one last conversation, where Kenny revealed that he was Levi's uncle and gave him the Titan serum that could save an Eldian's life, while also explaining that he and Uri believed that everyone needed to be drunk on something in order for them to have a reason to live.

5 The Battle Between Levi & Zeke Begins In Chapter 81

Levi attacks the Beast Titan

In Chapter 81, "Promise," Erwin and many other soldiers in the Survey Corps sacrificed themselves so Levi could sneak around them and kill Zeke, the inheritor of the Beast Titan. However, the plan didn't work as Levi hesitated to kill Zeke, hoping that one of his comrades that were greatly injured could be injected with the Titan serum that Kenny gave him and eat Zeke.

Unfortunately, while Levi was thinking of what he could do, the Cart Titan rescued Zeke and ran away. The plan failed and Levi would have to wait a long time before he got another opportunity to kill his greatest enemy.

4 Levi Made The Most Difficult Decision He Ever Had To Make In Chapter 84

Erwin didn't die immediately after getting hit by the boulder that the Beast Titan threw at him and could have been saved with the Titan serum. However, Armin was nearly burnt to death in his plan to defeat the Colossal Titan. Because of this, the few surviving members of the Survey Corps fought over who should get to continue living.

Levi made the final decision, and despite everything that he and Erwin had been through, he chose to save Armin. As Levi said his final words to the commander, he saw his fellow soldiers happy to see that Armin survived, knowing that he did the right thing.

3 Levi & Zeke Fought Again In Chapter 113

Levi surrounded by titans AOT

In Chapter 113, "Savagery," Zeke tried to run away from Levi as he turned members of the Survey Corps that drank his spinal fluid into Titans, thinking that Levi wouldn't kill them. However, the Beast Titan was wrong and readers were treated with another amazing battle of Levi's.

Not only did humanity's strongest soldier defeat the normal and abnormal Titans that surrounded him, but also beat Zeke in another fight. However, he once again didn't kill the Beast Titan's inheritor.

2 Levi Finally Killed Zeke In Chapter 137

Levi decapitates Zeke

Chapter 137, "Titans," brought an end to Zeke's arc. In the coordinate, he had a conversation with Armin about the meaning of life. Through this interaction, he realized that not everything that happened to him was bad and that he truly enjoyed spending time with Tom, the inheritor of the Beast Titan before him.

Upon this realization, Zeke returned to the real world and was decapitated by humanity's strongest soldier. After wanting revenge for years, Levi finally got it but lost the thing that he was drunk on.

1 Levi Finally Dedicated His Heart In Chapter 139

Levi Ackerman Salutes The Scouting Regiment

Many readers, unfortunately, did not like the last chapter in Attack on Titan, but many character arcs ended in the best way possible in it, including Levi's. He was able to see the spirits of all of his friends, such as Erwin, Hange, and the original members of his squad.

He let them know that all the sacrifices they made and battles they fought in resulted in the end of the Rumbling and a chance at peace. Finally saluting back at them, he watched them fade away one last time. What could have been a better ending to his story than that?
